The Greenhill estate (off Cuthberts Road) has been releasing land in stages since 2018. Like Lucas, blocks are sold to owner-builders and project home companies, and the driveway is part of the post-handover finish. Estate design guidelines require an exposed-aggregate, coloured or stencilled finish — plain concrete is generally not approved at the front. Most blocks need 50–75m² of driveway plus a crossover.

Sturt Street West — resurfacing market.

The strip of Alfredton between Howitt Street and Cuthberts Road is dominated by 1980s and 1990s brick veneer homes on quarter-acre blocks. Most of these have unreinforced 100mm plain concrete driveways now 30–40 years old. Surface scaling, crazing and corner cracks are normal. The fix is rarely a full demo — usually a spray-on overlay ($60–$90/m²) or, if the slab has heaved, full grind-and-repour ($80–$110/m²) over the existing reinforced base.
